St. George is an incorporated 3rd class municipality with a Mayor - Council form of government. Six members serve on the council, including the mayor.

Manhattan Kansas is 7 miles west. Wamego Kansas is 6 miles east. Connection with Interstate Highway 70 is only 15 miles from St. George.
