Education Public education in St. Marys is the responsibility of Unified School District 321, which serves St. Marys and several surrounding communities. The district office is in St. Marys as well as St. Marys Grade School (K-8) and St. Marys High School (9-12). Private parochial K-12 education is provided by St. Marys Academy and College. A private accredited degree-granting 4 year college is maintained by St. Marys Academy and College. Highland Community College offers college level courses, adult education and technical training at its campus in Wamego, approximately 13 miles west of Wamego. Washburn University is located in Topeka, 34 miles from St. Marys. The University of Kansas campus is in Lawrence, 59 miles east. The campus of Kansas State University is located in Manhattan, 26 miles west.
Emergency ambulance service is provided by the St. Marys station of Pottawatomie County EMS Community HealthCare Systems, a private, non-profit, regional health care system, provides the following services:
Topeka physicians also provide the following outpatient services at St Marys Clinic: orthopedic, cardiology, surgery, G.I., urology, ear, nose and throat, audiology and podiatry.
